The AIA Brooklyn Historic Resources Committee has educational goals to provide classes that will be offered to AIA Brooklyn members and other architects by experts in the field of architectural archiving and historic preservation.

Some of the things  that the AIA Brooklyn Membership Committee does:

  • Individual buildings:  The research of Brooklyn’s historic landmarked buildings as designated by the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC).
  • Historic Districts: The research of Brooklyn’s historic districts as designated by the LPC.
  • Archives:  The creation of AIA Brooklyn’s Archives.  Some of the archive’s records are currently housed in the Brooklyn Museum.
