Maeve Raleigh Commendation

ARCHITECTUREFIRM has designed architectural interiors and amenities for this 300 unit, 20 story tower in Raleigh, North Carolina, creating an elevated and urbane setting for the life of the building’s residents. Located at the intersection of the City Center, the Warehouse District, the newly revitalized Dix Park, and Boylan Heights in Downtown Raleigh, it was important that the project achieve an authentic sense of place within this highly dynamic and integrated Raleigh location. Themes of earth, water, and sky are the conceptual underpinnings to the design of the ground level, the pool terrace level, and the lofty Sky Lounge.
An architectural, wood columned, two-level entry lobby with co-working mezzanine lounge creates a structured, urban core of the program. Connected to the resort-like pool and recreation deck is a community-forward lounge and bar room. Adjoining this space is the gym and spa style baths for residents. The 20th floor Sky Lounge is an airy, sophisticated lounge and dining level with curving, ethereal shapes of plaster and light wood opening onto a terrace giving beautiful panoramic views of Downtown and the Red Hat Amphitheatre across the street.
