Join AIA Brooklyn at The Mercury Store in Gowanus on Tuesday, June 24 for light fare and a mass timber presentation by AIA Brooklyn member Brent Buck. The Mercury Store is a 5-minute walk from the 4th Ave / 9th Street F-G-N-D-R-W station.
Brent will be presenting “Frame 122” in Clinton Hill, the first NYC Mass Timber project approved and constructed under the 2022 Building Code. The elegance and simplicity of the building’s glu-lam frame and cross-laminated timber panels were exploited throughout the interiors to give the building a warm and a crafted aesthetic. The beauty of the building is enhanced by energy-efficient and sustainable features including carefully orchestrated mechanical systems and triple-glazed windows.
