The AIA Brooklyn Historic Resources Committee aims to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage in and around Brooklyn.
Some of the AIA Brooklyn Historic Resource Committee activities include:
- Individual buildings: The research of Brooklyn’s historic landmarked buildings as designated by the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC).
- Historic Districts: The research of Brooklyn’s historic districts as designated by the LPC.
- Archives: The creation of AIA Brooklyn’s Archives. Some of the archive’s records are currently housed in the Brooklyn Museum.
