Dear AIA Brooklyn Community,
Do you work at a firm that genuinely supports Emerging Professionals?
Does your office encourage mentorship, support licensure goals, include junior staff in meaningful project experiences, or create a culture where young architects can grow and thrive?
If so, this award is for you.
AIA Brooklyn Emerging Professionals is excited to announce that nominations for the 2026 Emerging Professional Friendly Firm (EPFF) Award are officially open from May 21 through August 30, 2026.
We invite Emerging Professionals, firm leaders, mentors, project managers, and office teams to nominate firms that are actively investing in the next generation of architects.
The EPFF Award was created to recognize Brooklyn-based firms that go beyond everyday practice by fostering:
- ARE and AXP support
- Mentorship and professional development
- Leadership opportunities for junior staff
- Inclusive and healthy workplace culture
- Meaningful project involvement across all phases
This program is about celebrating the firms that make people want to stay in the profession.
Selected firms will receive public recognition through documentary-style interviews, networking and screening events, jury citations, social media features, and additional opportunities to share their office culture and values with the broader architecture community.
Whether you are an Emerging Professional who feels supported by your workplace, or a firm leader proud of the environment your office has built, we encourage you to participate and help us highlight practices shaping a stronger future for architecture.
More information and submission details coming soon.
Warmly,
AIA Brooklyn Emerging Professionals
